The First Ever ISKCON Youth Leadership Sanga

ISKCON Youth Ministry and ISKCON Congregational Development Ministry will hold their first ISKCON Youth Leadership Sanga in Mayapur, between February 24 and March 2, 2016. Below is the letter of invitation:

ISKCON Leadership Sanga

We’d like to invite coordinators of ISKCON youth programs to participate in the first-ever ISKCON Youth Leadership Sanga (IYLS) conference to be held in Mayapur before Gaura Purnima, February 24 – March 2, 2016, in conjunction with the ISKCON Leadership Sanga (ILS) of GBC, temple presidents and managers.

Our vision is to have youth leaders from around the world spend quality time together, brainstorm, share best practices, network, and give presentations to ISKCON leaders about the benefits of having youth programs at their temples. You’ll also have access to attend more than 80 ILS seminars on topics including outreach, devotee care, leadership skills, strategic planning and project development, the marketing and communication of Krishna consciousness, online strategies, best practices in many areas of temple/project/community development, as well as parikrama and Krishna-katha.

The ISKCON Youth Leadership Sanga / ISKCON Leadership Sanga begins February 24, and runs for eight days through March 2, 2016. Kirtan Mela is scheduled for March 6-10, then Navadwip Mandala Parikrama, March 12-18, and finally, Gaura Purnima on March 23. This is your chance to have a jam packed month of cultivating Krishna conscious relationships, kirtan, experiencing the holy dhama and participating in Mayapur’s famous Gaura Purnima festival that is unlike any other. If you cannot come for the whole month, we hope you can at least make it for the eight days of the youth leadership conference.

It’s been a long time coming and is a great step for the youth ministry, with help from the congregation development ministry, to begin having bi-annual youth leadership conferences. If you work with youth in your community, we’d love to have your association for this historic event, and to have you share your experiences, knowledge and realizations.

Please email us if you’re interested to attend: newgeneration.cdm@gmail.com

If you know of someone who’s a youth leader in your area of the world, please let us know so we can invite them. Share this post. Help us spread the word.
